Spend this evening with me on Friday the 13th of October by candlelight, in remembrance of the Knights Templar and revisit their tragic end.
“To live in the world without becoming aware of the meaning of the world is like wandering about in a great library without touching the books.”
― Manly P. Hall, The Secret Teachings of All Ages
Please book this date on your calendars to revisit one of history's most mysterious and enigmatic chapters: the end of the Poor Soldiers of Christ and the Temple of Solomon.
The Knights Templar, guardians of sacred knowledge and champions of the faithful, met a tragic and unjust end on Friday, 13th October, 1307. Accused of heresy and sorcery, their order was disbanded by French king Philippe IV (known as “Le Bel”), their wealth confiscated, and many of their members subjected to brutal torture. Among them, the last Grand Master, Jacques de Molay, met a fiery fate at the stake. But from the ashes of that tragic day emerged legends and mysteries that continue to captivate and confound us.
Join me in this remembrance lecture and revisit one of history’s darkest moments. Uncover some of the truths and myths surrounding the Templars and their dramatic downfall, but also take a moment to remember and honour the brave Knights of the Temple.
